Resident is a documentation of the resident cats of Dakota Crescent, before, during and after the residents vacated the neighbourhood due to the Selective Enbloc Redevelopment Scheme (SERS). Interested in the practice of walking/drifting as a methodology for observing the everyday, the artist has been tracing the gradual change of this neighbourhood since 2010. These series of text and photographs taken using disposable film cameras attempt to observe and explore the presence and interaction of the resident cats alongside the shifting architecture of the space.
Resident is available at City Book Room, Singapore and Bleu&Book, Taipei.
