Artist Block is a series of brick-shaped forms containing what we commonly witness as ‘debris’, produced by students during the Art making process. These left-overs, which include pencil shavings, charcoal dusts, dried up acrylic paint and stained glass pieces, are usually discarded or left unnoticed as compared to the final work. Artist Blocks attempt to bring the unnoticed visible, attributing value to these debris casted in brick-shaped forms which are akin to the notion of ‘Artist Blocks’.
